What an amazing family! From the first meeting to the clean up on Sunday, we were treated like family. Even their dogs tried to come home with us but first insisted we played fetch while we set up lights. It was in the contract according to Harley the dog.
At our first design meeting, Mary said, "I want it simple... just a BBQ, cowboy boots, and some lights." What I wasn't planning on is that Mary doesn't do anything simple nor does Mary's lovely Mom Mrs. Ginny. By the third proposal of " we need more lights please", we had the most incredible design.
The huge pines trees were lit up in amber and sunset tones all 100 plus trees (wink). It was like a forest on fire from neighbor's house that was an acre or two away hehehe.
Hanging from the trees on the lawn where dinner was taking place and adding as an accent too any perfect BBQ, were my signature vintage crystal chandeliers. You see Ms. Mary didn't want grandma to take a spill on the lawn from the tree roots sticking out.
Shining over the dance floor where my buddy DJ Music by Rich was commanding the whole show like the captain of a well running ship, was a few hot pink paisley gobo projections lighting up the movers and shakers having a great time.
Down by the pool, where the lounge area was, we had pale amber lights highlighting the foliage and gardens.
Back at the bar gobo projections accenting the local wine, wine, and more wines!!! woooohooo
Did I mention the tri tip on bbq which we were all invited to plate up and have seconds!!! And the yummy cupcakes! One for everyone lit up nicely with my special accent lighting poles.
I'm telling you these folks know how to make everyone feel special. From the guest to the vendors, we all had a great time!!!!! Thank you Mrs. Mary and family for showing me Placerville knows how to party better than anyone. And the best part is I drove home...around the corner yipppeeee!!!! Home Sweet Home!
