Wedding Lighting Sacramento takes Placerville by Surprise!!!

Wedding Lighting Sacramento brings its Atmosphere Lights flare and style to a new level of spectacular in
El Dorado County

Who says Placerville doesn't know how to party?  They have never met the beautiful wild and saucy Ms. Mary, now Mrs. Mary of course, but still  as sassy as ever I'm sure. When Ms Mary asked me to light her family's private home just off of what we locals know as boot hill, I never dreamed it would be three tiers of front yard, backyard, and a pool, along with a mile of driveway lined with enormous pine trees. Did I mention the glorious view looking out over the canyon? WOW!

What an amazing family! From the first meeting to the clean up on Sunday, we were treated like family. Even their dogs tried to come home with us but first insisted we played fetch while we set up lights. It was in the contract according to Harley the dog.

At our first design meeting, Mary said, "I want it simple... just a BBQ, cowboy boots, and some lights."  What I wasn't planning on is that Mary doesn't do anything simple nor does Mary's lovely Mom Mrs. Ginny.  By the third proposal of " we need more lights please",  we had the most incredible design.

The huge pines trees were lit up in amber and sunset tones all 100 plus trees (wink).  It was like a forest on fire from neighbor's house that was an acre or two away hehehe.

Hanging from the trees on the lawn where dinner was taking place and adding as an accent too any perfect BBQ, were my signature vintage crystal chandeliers.  You see Ms. Mary didn't want grandma to take a spill on the lawn  from the tree roots sticking out.

Shining over the dance floor where my buddy DJ Music by Rich was commanding the whole show like the captain of a well running ship, was a few hot pink paisley gobo projections lighting up the movers and shakers having a great time.

Down by the pool, where the lounge area was, we had pale amber lights highlighting the foliage and gardens.

Back at the bar gobo projections accenting the local wine, wine, and more wines!!! woooohooo
Did I mention the tri tip on bbq which we were all invited to plate up and have seconds!!!  And the yummy cupcakes! One for everyone lit up nicely with my special accent lighting poles.

I'm telling you these folks know how to make everyone feel special.  From the guest to the vendors, we all had a great time!!!!!  Thank you Mrs. Mary and family for showing me Placerville knows how to party better than anyone. And the best part is I drove home...around the corner yipppeeee!!!! Home Sweet Home!

Wedding Lighting Sacramento goes to Cornerstone Sonoma

Wedding Lighting Sacramento makes event lighting impact at Cornerstone Sonoma.

"Party lighting is an exciting profession and when I have the ability to have an experience along with my bride and groom, that's when my profession feels like a vacation."

Cornerstone Sonoma is one of our favorite venues. We are always excited when a couple chooses us to provide the atmosphere and on September 17. It was no exception.  The gardens at Cornerstone are second to none.  The artwork, the designs, and the ability to open the heart and question the mind is spectacular. My staff and I had the most amazing time.  We loaded in extra early to leave time to enjoy this glorious place.  We dined in the cafe... "oh my what a meal".  I felt as if I were back in Italy or France with the beautiful surroundings, little shops, and amazing food.

Of course this amazing place is a masterpiece to light.  The great big tent, the rustic barn, and the surrounding gardens.  It looked spectacular!

My fiance and I even slipped away to the Lilly pond and had our own little private wedding ceremony. It was so romantic just him, me and the garden cat who stepped in as minister.  Now that's my dream wedding heheheh

Ace of Spades goes 2Chic Events

Party Lighting Sacramento makes a huge impact at the Ace of Spades!

Wedding Lighting and Event Lighting in Sacramento as reached a new level of excellence.

On August 29, 2011 The Ace of Spades, Sacramento’s newest ALL AGES LIVE MUSIC VENUE located in the heart of Downtown Sacramento’s “R Street District” and is owned by Eric Rushing, received a 2Chic Events makeover!

When the handsome Eric Rushing (Ace of Spades) met the beautiful Aimee Wendell (2Chic Events and Designs), I'm not sure he was ready for what was about to happen.  I'm sure, although I was not present for the actual first conversation, it went a little like this....

Aimee: We would like to showcase your venue as an alternate wedding venue.
Eric: That would be great.  We would love to be able to do weddings here too.
Aimee: Ok Ladies and Joe ( SJ's Disc Jockey) unload the trucks!!!!!!

The next thing Eric knew he was being surrounded by glitter and glam, crystal chandeliers clicked and clanked, fluffy pillows and shiny fabric was everywhere, and he was over come by the smell of perfume!!!

Ok  hahahaha ...maybe it wasn't quite that extreme, but there was gorgeous antique chairs, chic furniture, dining settings and props from 2Chic Events, beautiful dining linen fabrics from Mimi n Co., props and florals from Visual Impact Designs, the yummiest desserts ever from Peace. Love. & Sugar., and
Atmosphere Lights... "well, we brought the atmosphere"!.

Fortunately the lovely and extremely talented Jessica- Stout Photography was there to capture each gorgeous moment of this party lighting extravaganza! Thank you Ms. Jessica for the stunning photos.
(see the photos below)

THE MAIN FLOOR:
We hung (15) of our signature lamp shades from the 30' ceiling, with an added touch of crystals from Aimee. Uplighting, which is our unique specialty, highlighted the entrance with gold streams shooting up the walls like a Hollywood showcase.  We used gold, hot pink, and electric blue to bring out the architectural features such as the new crimson wallpaper and vintage-looking chandeliers, which dress up the main bars of this music venue.   Then we cascaded hot pink and electric blue paisley projections across the antique and chic furniture to really make the whole room "pop"!  As an added touch of fun we projected a realistic looking chandelier gobo on the main wall entrance to tie-in with the existing vintage-looking chandeliers.  And for the final touch, we added pinspot lighting.  Pinspots beamed down from the ceiling to highlight the beautiful simple yet elegant floral centerpieces; that were on top of the shiny, sparkly, and very classy linens making each dining setting so inviting.

Then from across the room it shines in lights, it glows, it screams... 'come eat me'!  Displayed on a beautiful vintage dressing table ... "The Desserts"!  Glorious macaroons, chocolate mousse yummy push-up pops that are like... 'Oh my God my thighs just got bigger' desserts.  And the highlight of all the desserts shining in lights is the most stunning Marilyn Monroe cake EVER!  Yes, and all of the cake is edible,  but who would dare? She's so amazing and life like..... Wow! Peace. Love. & Sugar indeed!  ;)

THE BALCONY VIP ROOM or BRIDE & GROOM "secret getaway "
This area is fun because you can over look your whole party, spy on your guest, and enjoy your own private bar getaway. We uplit this area in sexy hot red, cobalt blue and gold, and accented it with soft white lamps and lamp shades. We kept it very understated, soft, and romantic.

And then when the party was over... we packed it all up and it was as if we were never there.  Not a hint of perfume or glitter in sight back to rock and roll! hehehehe!
What an exciting day it was. I personally had a lot of fun. :) !
